Mrs. Jackson retired from the Memphis City School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church Board, a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended Owen College.
She leaves her daughters Marilyn Jackson-Jenkins, Carolyn Jackson, and Marcia Gunn, all of Memphis, TN and her sons, Bernard Wilson of Johnson City, TN and Frederick Chris Jackson I (Sarah) of Memphis, TN and son-in-law Larry Croom (Bernadette Wilson Croom deceased). She also leaves two stepdaughters, Patricia Duckett-Thomas of Memphis, and Peggy Duckett-Halliburton of Oklahoma City, OK, two foster daughters, Willie Mae Dillard of Carrollton, MS and Sadie Dillard-Ruffin of Memphis, and two foster sons, Curtis Farmer (Romelle) of Pensacola, FL and James Dillard (Margaret) of Memphis; three sisters, Loretta Wilson, Helen Wilson and Martha Hill all of Memphis, and sister-in-law, Earnestine Martin of Chicago, IL and one brother, Attorney Martin James Wilson of Chicago, IL. she also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
