Mr. Harold Leroy Adams, 72, of Thorntown, formerly of Westfield, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon.

Mr. Adams was born Oct. 24, 1939, in Home Place, the son of the now-deceased Wallace and Jean Clare (Neerman) Adams. He was reared and educated in Boone and Hamilton Counties, and attended Carmel High School.

On July 12, 1958, he married Sandra Kay Middleton in Indianapolis. Mrs. Adams survives.

In the early 1960s, Mr. Adams bought his uncle's tool and dye shop, Milnor Screw Products, and moved the business to Westfield. He sold the shop in 1982. In his spare time, he bought and sold cars and antiques.

Mr. Adams enjoyed his children and grandchildren. In addition to his family, he took pleasure celebrating the holiday season. He enjoyed collecting antique toys, specifically toy trains.

He was a member of Thorntown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Adams of Thorntown; four children, Mark (Angie) Adams of St. Joseph, Mich., formerly of Westfield, Pam (Dan) Singleton of Sheridan, Kevin (Rada) Adams of Westfield and Vickie (Hank) Klosky of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Brittany (Brad) Schutter and Marika Singleton, all of Sheridan, Benjamin Adams of Tulsa, Okla., Hannah Adams, Rachel Adams and Elijah Adams, all of St. Joseph, and Marko Adams and Abigail Adams, both of Westfield.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thurl Adams.
