Vern (Johnny) Hull, of Waynesburg R.D. 5, (North Waynesburg) died at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 1973 in the University Medical Center, Morgantown, W. Va., after a brief illness.

Born September 27, 1909 in Center Township, near Rutan, he was the son of the late Austin and Izola Headley Hull.

As an employee of the Carnegie Natural Gas Company since July 5, 1927, Mr. Hull was a gang foreman and had lived in the Waynesburg area all his life.

He was a member of the Fairall United Methodist Church and also of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461, Waynesburg.

First married to the late former Margueritte Teagarden, who died on June 17,1962, he is survived be a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Eileen) Webster, of Finleyville.

Mr. Hull is also survived by his second wife, Evelyn Taylor Wilson Hull; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Sharon) Higgins, of Waynesburg; a stepson, Fred Wilson, of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Whipkey, of Wind Ridge; Mrs. Floyd (Millicent) Pettit, of Bentleyville; and Mrs. Clarence (Nell) Pettit, of Washington; and two brothers, Claire Hull, of Claysville, and John Hull, of Rogersville.

A sister and a brother are deceased.
