Mrs. Louise, Sophie, Mary Leseberg, wife of Louis Leseberg, (nee Garms) was born in Germany, May 4, 1836. She was married to Mr. Leseberg May 1, 1863 and in 1866 emigrated to America settling in this vicinity and has resided here ever since. She was a member of the Evangelical Plum Grove church eight years of the Evangelical Long Grove church five years and soon after the organization of the Palatine Evangelical church, the deceased became a member of the latter. Mrs. Leseberg has been ailing with rheumatism for 20 years. After being unconscious for a week following a stroke of appoplexy [sic] she died Aug. 16 at the age of 75 yrs., 3 months, 12 days. Burial took place Saturday, August 19 at the South side cemetery. The funeral was in charge of Rev. Hoffmeister and was largely attended. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband and five children, 3 sons, Louis, Henry and Herman and two daughters, Mrs. Louis Gieseke and Mrs. Emma Meyer, 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
