In the Goodspeed's "History of Maury ... and Marshall Counties of Tennessee there is a reference on page 1221 to Robert "Robin". "Fannie (Arnold) Nix and second wife "Vicey" Cheak. It tells that both "Robin" and "Fannie" were of English blood. "He was a Democrat and farmer .... He died in 1880 lacking 16 days of being 100 years old." {Based on early census records it is likely that he was born in 1785-6, thus his age at death would be 94 or 95.
