Stephen Lewis "Steve" Swan was the son of Jean and Craig Swan. He sang, played, and recorded Christian music with his friend music producer Matthew Butler. Steve also volunteered his time and money to the Texas Border Volunteers.

He and his friend Matthew Butler were murdered in front of Butler's recording studio.
