Cathern Cooper, 72, of 8 Locust St., Elkins, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 1996 in Davis Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Cooper was born Sept. 16, 1923 at Norton, a daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Lillian Plaugher Rexrode.
On Feb. 1, 1947, she married Parker W. Cooper, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, William R. Cooper, Elkins; one foster son, Richard L. Jones, Lewisburg; one daughter, Mrs. C. Gregory (Brenda) Mullenax, Elkins; one foster daughter, Mrs. John (Kathy) Tipton, Norfolk, Va.; one brother, Robert L. Rexrode, Deltona, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. John (Lucy) Bava, Davis; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper also was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Roger (Virginia) Jenkins.
Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of the Elkins Church of God and Family Worship Center.
