Mrs. Flora E. Snell, one of Potsdam's beloved citizens, passed away at her home on Pierpont Ave., Monday morning after a lingering illness. Mrs. Snell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Kimball being born in Stratford, Vermont April 1, 1851. She married Mr, Hollis Snell and lived for some time In South Colton, moving to Potsdam some 25 years ago and Mr. Snell died here December 8, 1891. Mrs. Snell was a member of Trinity Episcopal church and was very active in church work. She was also closely identified with the Methodist church. Many friends, besides the members; of her own family will miss her genial and kindly greetings and helpful sympathy, She is survived by two sons, Bertrand H and Kimball J. of Potsdam and two sisters, Mrs. H. B. Southworth of Acmiegl, Mich, and Mrs. C. R. Snell of Everett, Wash. Funeral services were held at the house Wednesday morning Rev. R. M. Sherman; officiating assisted by Rev. J. StallWood and interment was made in Bayside cemetery.
