"On Tuesday morning the aged Mr. Johann Friedrich Bechly, one of the first settlers of Town Herman, died. Mr. Bechly was born on January 21,1807 in the Uckermark region of the province of Brandenberg; he came to America in 1852 and settled down at Town Herman, but later moven to Sheboygan. His spouse already died 16 years before him. He leaves 6 children behind, while 8 more died as infants. His remains will be buried this afternoon at the municipal cemetery. Priest Janett will administer the funeral service."
