Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Terry G. Briggs died May 3, 2000, at his residence.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Aloma Key Briggs; He was the loving father of Traci Ratcliff of Gainesville, Fla., Darin and Derrick Briggs, both of Sterling; grandfather of Meghan and Jennifer Ratcliff; and son-in-law of Grace Key of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Green Funeral Home, Herndon, Va. Services will be held at noon Friday in Christian Fellowship Church, 21673 Beaumeade Circle, Ashburn, Va. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with full military honors at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St., Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Briggs' name to the Brain Tumor Society, 124 Watertown St., Suite 3-H, Watertown, MA 02472.
