He was born July 9, 1940, in Anderson, to Herbert and Anna Mae (Crouse) Alfrey.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Delco Remy for 29 years retiring in 1990.
He was a member of American Legion Post 127. He enjoyed bowling.
Larry is survived by his four children, Kenny (Karen) Alfrey, Gary (Cindy) Alfrey and Leah (Erin) Finan, all of Anderson, and Sandra (Tom) Ewert of Pendleton; his brother, James Alfrey of Chesterfield; nine grandchildren, Justin, Ben, Ryan, Christopher, Emilee, Jenna, Hannah, Abigayle and Tia Lacy; and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Aaliyah, Jaxson and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Jewel Fetty, Merle Alfrey, Dwane Alfrey and Nondas Symoens.
Services will be at noon Monday at Rozelle-Johnson with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites.
