Tatiana Vecheslova was born in St Petersburg. She trained at the Vaganova School (pupil of Marie Romanova and Agrippina Vaganova herself). She graduated in 1928. A strong dramatic dancer. Vecheslova was the first Russian ballerina to tour abroad when she and Chabukiani went to America in 1934. She created many roles including Manizhe (Heart of the Hills), Paskuala (Laurencia), Nuné (Gayané), Florine (Lost Illusions), one of the Ugly Sisters (Sergeyev's Cinderella)and Esmeralda (Esmeralda). She retired from stage in 1953. Worked as a teacher and ballet mistress. She was the Honoured Artist of the RFFSR award.
