Funeral Services at Late Residence on Mint Street This Afternoon at 3 O'Clock.
Mrs. J. P. Beatty, age 21 years, died at the Presbyterian hospital last evening at 7:20 o'clock of pneumonia following influenza. Funeral services will be conducted at the late residence, 804 Mint street, this afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. A. R. Surratt, pastor of Cavalry Methodist church, officiating. Interment will take place in Elmwood cemetery.
Mrs. Beatty was born in York county, S. C., July 26, 2897, and was a daughter of J. J. Barnes and Mrs. Mattie Wearn Barnes, both of whom survive her. She also leaves her husband, and the following brothers and sisters: D. R., W. E., F. R., S. H., and J. A. Beatty, and Mrs. E. P. Brandon, all of York county, S. C. Five stepchildren also survive: E. T., J. F., Howard, Frances and Mary Beatty.
