Levi Alford is a proven son of Arthur Alford & Clarky Sarvis Alford as he is named in his father's will of 1827. Levi inherited a lifetime right to 221 acres of land, one Negro man named Harry - & also one mare & 2 cows & calves, one bedroom suite from his father (Arthur Alford). At Levi's death the said property will be equally divided amongst the heirs of his body. Info gleaned from www.hchsonline.org/wills/aa.html (click on "wills" when you get there). Oral history: (older cemetery destroyed to build the present day church sanctuary). Many had only wood markers that are now long gone.
