"The remains of James H Lanning, who died yesterday at his residence, 433 South Main Street, were taken today to the Cane Creek cemetery for interment. Mr. Lanning was 54 years of age. Surviving are a widow, two sons Jerre and Floyd, one daughter, Miss Nellie. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Mandy Duckett and Mrs. Carolina Stewart; and one brother, George Lanning. Mr. Lanning was a native of this county."
