My mother was born in Greenville County, South Carolina daughter of the late James Alexander and Mamie Lee Smith Mosteller. She was one of six children born to my grandparents and spent her entire life in Greenville where she was a 1942 graduate from Parker High School. On December 18, 1942 she married William Floyd Davis which she had one son, Ronald James Davis. They were divorced in 1950 and on March 11, 1950 she married my father, Dean Albert Barnett at Park Place Baptist Church in Greenville. In 1958 she went to work for Stone Manufacturing Company in Greenville. Among her survivors were two sons, Ronald James Davis from Greenville, Robert Dean Barnett from Greenville; three daughters, Sharon Ruth Barnett Davenport, Lydia Jean Barnett Hines, Angela Lois Barnett Bright all from Greenville; one brother, Charles Alexander Mosteller from Anderson; two sisters, Ruth Mosteller Waldrop and Doris Ann Mosteller Vinskus both from Greenville. My mother was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Mosteller; one sister, Alma Mosteller Leo and my father, Dean Albert Barnett. Graveside Services were held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
