Anton married Loueen Brahmstedt on June 11, 1971, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island.
Survivors are: wife Loueen, of Grand Island; brother, Clifford Stefanowicz of Grand Island; brother-in-law, Ray Brahmstedt of McCool Junction; sisters-in-law, Margaret Stefanowicz of Farwell and Ellie Westwood of York; special nephew, Frank Stefanowicz, and several other nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great nephews.
Anton attended country school during his elementary years and graduated from Farwell High School in 1954. After he graduated from school, he began farming.
The couple lived on the farm near Farwell where he farmed and also raised Angus cattle. He kept very busy farming.
In January 2011, the couple moved to Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island.
Anton loved his dogs and spent his time training and playing with them.
Anton was a past member of the Board of Directors of Loup Basin Reclamation District.
Anton is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gilbert Stefanowicz; sister, Blanche Tully; brothers-in-law, Ralph and Bill Brahmstedt; nephew, Tom Tully; and a niece and nephew Mary and Jerry Augustyn.
Inurnment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, NE.
