Lee Bell, Jr. was born in Humphrey's County, MS on March 18, 1938, to Mrs. Celesta Bell and the late Rev. Lee Bell, Sr.
He joined the Green Grove M. B. Church at an early age where he was Baptized under the leadership of Rev. J. D. Thurman.
Lee lived in Belzoni his entire life and was a hard worker. For 21 years, he was a custodian at Jockey International in Belzoni and in his spare time, he did yard work throughout the community. He also worked as a custodian at the First Presbyterian Church until his health failed.
On Thursday, Decemher 20, 2001, Lee departed this life at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. His father, Rev. Lee Bell, Sr. and one brother, Andrew Louis Bell preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother, Mrs. Celesta Bell; five sisters, Lillie B. Bell cf Chicago, IL; Dollie Banks (Fletcher), Josephine Bell, Annie Bell (Wayne) and Mildred Bell of Belzoni, MS; two Brothers, Jack Bell and Earl Bell (Eloise) of Belzoni, MS; one aunt, Johnnie Mae Dixon of Cedar Rapids, IA; one uncle, Ceasar Van (Doris) of Jackson, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
