Joseph, son of Joseph and Carrie Engert Acks, resided in Pleasant Twp, died after he was struck by an automobile in the nearby town of Delmont. He was survived by his wife, Ruth McFarland Acks, a sister Jeanette Anderson and brother Jerome R. or Baltimore,MD. He worked for the United Refinery Co for 36 years and was active in the Boy Scouts of America for the past 42 years achieving many awards as well as being a member of St. Joseph RC Church.
