MADISON — Marie E. Coffman, age 88, died on Sunday, February 18, 1996. She was born on March 27, 1907, in Madison, the daughter of John and Mary Kelzenberg. On December 18, 1926, she married Jerome Coffman. They were married for almost 60 years. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1986. Marie worked in the graphic arts department of Oscar Mayer and Company for 20 years. She was a member of the Oscarettes and had participated in several acting groups; Black Friars and the Madison Theater Guild, and the Fort Wayne, Indiana Civic Theater. She was also active in a creative writers group in Fort Wayne. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley, and Mary Ann; a sister, Rosemary Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her only son, Jerome, Jr.; her only grandchild, Robin; two sisters, Esther Farrell and Dorothy Wagner; and her son-in-law, Michael Paley. Funeral services held on Wednesday, February 21, 1996, at the Cress Funeral Home, Madison with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
