Adams, John Riley -age 40, of Blackey, Kentucky, formerly of Knott County, Kentucky, died on February 17, 2005, at Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was born on December 17, 1955, in Knott County, Kentucky, the son of Jewell Ritchie Adams Coots of Blackey, Kentucky and the late Buster Eugene Adams. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Henry Joe; and one sister, Elsie Jean. He is survived by his mother; two brothers, Larry Eugene (Annie) Adams of Waynesburg, Kentucky, and Arley Ray (Darlene) Adams of Pinetop, Kentucky; five sisters, Joann (James) Grigsby of Cordia, Kentucky, Linda (David) Couch of Anco, Kentucky, Rainamae (Roger) Adams of Sassafras, Kentucky, Brenda (Bob) Gibson of Pinetop, Kentucky, and Joetta (Mike) Adams of Litt Carr, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m., at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Hindman, Kentucky, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial followed in Burton Hill Cemetery, Blackey, Kentucky, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.
