The funeral for Martin J Alveshere, 88, of Wadena was conducted at the Balsamlund Lutheran Church of rural Aldrich with Rev. Maxwell Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Balsamlund Cemetery.
Martin passed away at Tri County Hospital of Wadena on Sept. 12, 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah of Wadena;; one son Clifford of Alexandria, one daughter, Viona Harrison of Boomington, one sister, Minnie of Staples, two brothers, Melvin of Harlow ND, Clarence of Heimdahl, ND, six gandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Robin Harrison.
He was born Dec. 25, 1895 to Thomas and Milan Alveshere at Pontiac, IL.
He was united iin marriage to Hannah Backberg on Nov. 3, 1925 at Staples, MN. He was a farmer.
