Ronald Lee "Ron" Brown, 75, of Sequim, Wash., formerly of Wichita, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 17, 2009. Ron was born Jan. 14, 1934 in Wichita, Kan. He attended McCormick Grade School, Allison Intermediate and North High School, where he was an athlete. He played football in the USC - Ohio St. Rose Bowl game in Jan. 1955. He graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1956. He served in the US Air Force from 1956-60 as an officer and air traffic controller. He worked for Walt Disney Studio making movies. He was the leading man in "Charlie, The Lonesome Cougar" in 1967. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Aleda Brown; infant brother, Roygean Lee Brown. He is survived by his wife, Carlene (Watson) Brown, Sequim, Wash.; sons, Monte Randal (Susan) Brown and Jimmy (Andrea) Watson of Mercer Island, Wash.; daughters, Ronda Lee (Bob) Hoxsie of Cupertino, Calif., Jan (Dan) Cummings of Crosby, Texas, Marie Dickinson of Sequim, Wash., Melissa Lee Brown of Monroe, Wash., Amy (Kevin) Vaughn of Gig Harbor, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; sister, Peggy Joyce Brown of Cheney; four nephews and one niece; sister-in-law, Martha, and her family of San Francisco, Calif. Memorials may be made to the Dunganness Church in Sequim, Wash., the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Gideons, or the charity of choice. Sequim Valley Chapel, 108 W. Alder, Sequim, WA. Services 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at the Dungannees Church, Sequim, Wash. (360-683-7333).
