BLUFFTON - Fletcher M. Johnson Jr., 54 of Bluffton, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 in the Hilton Head Medical Center.

He was born in Manning on September 19, 1957. He was the son of Fletcher M. Johnson Sr. and Ellie J. Johnson. He was the owner and practicing attorney at the Law Office of Fletcher Johnson LLC. He was the Associate Municipal Judge for the Town of Bluffton. He was a member of the Beaufort County Bar Association and the SC Bar Association. He was a member of the Hilton Head Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. He attended Resurrection Christian Community Church where he played the guitar. He enjoyed painting in oils and watercolors and doing landscapes and abstracts.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Johnson of Bluffton, his parents, Fletcher M. and Ellie J. Johnson Sr. of Marion; two sons, James E. (Sherry) Duke Jr. of Bluffton and David John (fiance‚ Julie Marie Davis) Duke of Bluffton; one sister, Karen (Ken) Thomas of Marion; and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton, with burial in Low Country Memorial Gardens, Bluffton.
