Thomas Gail Scott, 63 years, of Waynesburg R. D. 4, died Saturday, March 30, 1957 in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years. Mr. Scott was a son of James B. and Minerva Ward Scott, and was born October 16, 1893, in Waynesburg. He formerly worked as a driller in the oil and gas fields. He was a member of the Waynesburg Eagles Lodge. Mr. Scott married twice. His first wife, Bessie Chaplin Scott, died a number of years ago. His second wife, Lena Connor Scott, survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter by his first marriage, James E. Sscott, phoenmix, Ariz., and Gail J, Scott and Mrs. Madalyn Rush, both of Waynesburg; three sons and one daughter by his second marriage, Charles C. Scott, Waynesburg, John W. Scott, Las Vegas, Nevada, and R. Paul Scott, of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Kenneth (Sara) Rager of Waynesburg; one foster daughter, Mrs. Joseph Scherich of Waynesburg; one foster son, Kenneth Wilson serving with the Air Force in Japan; 32 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sisters are deceased.
