CORINTH - James Randle Davis, 59, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. A lifelong resident of Corinth, he was born July 16, 1944, to the late Daniel "Dan" and Jewel Franks Davis. He was an employee of the City of Corinth for the past 25 years. He was formerly associated with Long Wholesale and Southland Service Station. He was a member of the East Corinth Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed antiquing and collecting, especially Civil War relics.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McPeters Funeral Chapel in Corinth with the Rev. Dennis Smith and the Rev. Ralph Culp officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery in Corinth.

Survivors include a brother, Carl Edward Davis of Corinth; two sisters, Jeanine Bingham Haney and husband, Charles, and Betty Parnell and husband, Kenneth, all of Corinth; a special friend, Tracey Smith of Corinth; a niece, Pam P. Gann; two nephews, Brandon Bingham and Shane Davis; three great-nephews, one great-niece.

Pallbearers will be Jim Bynum, Larry Franks, Bill Dixon and Larry McDaniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be the City of Corinth employees.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta GA 30067.
