Elaine Atherton Fregosi, 81, died Nov. 30, 2011, at home.

She was born in Laconia, the daughter of Walter and Irma (Labbe) Angers. She was a 1948 graduate of Laconia High School.

She worked with her husband at Atherton's Radio, TV and Appliances. She also worked as a hostess at DeNauw's Restaurant, Capital City Diner and the Cat and the Fiddle, all in Concord.

She was a member of the Concord Junior Women's Club, acted as social chairman at Pleasant Lake Association, was a member of the Knitting Club and participated in St. Joseph Church yard sales. She volunteered for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and for the Bill Luti Road Race.

Elaine loved cooking, bowling and knitting. In 1963, she won Cook of the Year and was a previous winner of the Pillsbury Regional Bake Off.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas W. Atherton Sr. in 1970 and by Richard Fregosi in 1998; by her eight brothers, Wallace Angers, Walter Angers, Clyde Angers, Earl Angers, Carl Angers, Ray Angers, Eddie Angers, Harold Angers; and her sister, Dorothy Chadwick.

Burial in West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon.
