Moses was the son of Moses Dow and Hannah Roberts, he married Jane M Ramsdell and from the 1900 and 1910 census data, they had 21 children but only 5 lived beyond infancy (Franklin H died at age 7 on 19 Apr 1874). I found his middle name from his Mass Death record, which also gave DOB and DOD.

A quick look at records on Ancestry gives us :

It was hard to identify Moses in the 1800s census so I won't put errors here.

Civil War - Enlisted 10 Aug 1864 as a Private in Company E, Massachusetts 1st Heavy Artillery Battalion. Mustered out 28 Jun 1865. Data indicates he did serve during the war, which is why he has the military tombstone. Data says he was born about 1843.

1867 - aprox - married to Jane M Ramsdell, estimated from census data 1900, 1910.

1870 - living in Seabrook NH with his wife he is listed as he is in 99% of the census as Moses F Dow. He is 26 and a farm laborer, his wife Jane M is 21. Children : Franklin H 2 born about 1868. Also on this page is a George S Dow 38 born about 1832 and a David Dow 49 born about 1821, possibly brothers to Moses.

1880 - best match - living in Seabrook NH he is listed as Frank M Dow 36 a farmer, his wife is Jane M 31. The ages are off but this is the best match I could find. Children : George S 10 born about 1870, Charles A 2 born about 1878 (see 1900 census), Emily 6 months born Nov 1879. Listed just before him is Albert Gove, who is also buried in this family plot.

1900 - living at 30 Academy St in Exeter NH he is 56 born Mar 1844 and a shoemaker. Jane is 50 born Feb 1850. They have been married for 33 yrs and 5 of their 21 children are still living, 3 are listed in this household and Andrew is listed at the same address but in the household of John Currier. Children : Charles A 21 born Nov 1878 a carpenter, Annie M 19 born June 1886, Martha M 11 born Sept 1888 at school. There are 2 other families listed at this address.

1910 - last name interpreted as Bow - living at 6 1/2 Moulton St in Newburyport MA he is 66 doing shoe repair in his own shop. His wife is listed as Jane M Dow 61 married for 43 years and 5 of their 21 children are still living, two of whom are living here. Children : Andrew J 26 a cutter in a shoe factory, listed as a daughter is Martha M Rowe 23 married for 6 years and both of her two children are still living and listed here : Dorothy Rowe 3 born about 1907, John F Rowe 2 born about 1908.

1910 - 3 Dec 1910 - Mass Death records list his death at age 67 yrs, 8 months, and 28 days of myocarditis, also suffering from arteriosclerosis, he was a farmer living at 6 1/2 Moulton St in Newburyport MA. His DOB : 4 Mar 1849 in Seabrook NH, parents : Moses Dow born in Seabrook NH, Hannah Roberts born Seabrook NH. Data also gives us his middle name of Franklin and that he was buried 6 Dec 1910 in Seabrook NH.

Note : I did find a Moses F Dow in the 1920 census, living on Forest St in Salisbury Square MA. He is listed as 75 so born about 1845, single, a farmer. I doubt this is he as I found a 1912 Newburyport MA city directory which gives his date of death as 3 Dec 1910 and lists Jane M Dow as a widow of Moses Dow, she is living at 20 Jefferson St.

Daughter Martha : although she is listed with him in the 1910 census, she is living with her husband (John S Rowe) in the 1920 census. She is also buried in this extended family plot as is her son John, but her husband is not buried here.

Son Franklin H : NH Death records list his death 19 April 1874 at the age of 7 years, 6 months, and 15 days in Seabrook NH. He died from scarlet fever. Parents : Moses F Dow, Jane M Dow. Data indicates he was born in Kensington NH as was his mother. An approximate DOB would be 4 Oct 1867. June 2014 : I did not find a Find A Grave memorial for him.

Moses Franklin Dow and part of his family are listed in The Book of Dow on page 186 (adaieieaaf). They have his son Franklin's date of birth as Oct. 4, 1866. Death same as above.

Also on page 186, they have him as the son of Moses Dow and his wife Hannah, with a birthdate of 1843 with Town records as a source.

Moses Franklin Dow's death certificate (attached under the photo section) lists his parents as Moses Dow,. born in Seabrook and Hannah Roberts, born in Kensington. The date of his death in Newburyport, Massachusetts is December 3, 1910 of myocarditis. He is listed as being 67 years 8 month 28 days old which would make him born on March 6, 1843. However, they have listed his date of birth as March 5, 1848, perhaps a typo. I have changed the date on this memorial from March 4, 1849 to March 5, 1843 based on this information and the info in The Book of Dow. Also based on his records when he enlisted in the Civil War. However, they both remain a possibility.
