He was a member of Whitehaven Baptist Church. He was employed by Keeling Company of Olive Branch as a sales representative.
He was a strong supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital and sponsored a child. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching football and basketball. He is survived by his parents, Roy and Jeanne Weichand of Southaven; sister, Tracey Poindexter of Mequon, WI; brother-in-law, John Poindexter of Mequon; nephews, Grant and Hunter Poindexter; niece, Melanie Poindexter, all of Mequon and his grandmother, Ila McNeer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Emil Weichand.
Visitation will be Friday, December 23 from 5-8 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Services will be Saturday, December 24 at 11 a.m. at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church in Southaven. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Community Cemetery. Twin Oaks Funeral Home (662)349-9720
