Paul Martin Follett, 86, formerly of Albany, died Wednesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland.

He was born in Bentonville, Ark., the son of Charles and Laura (Brannon) Follett. Paul was raised on a farm in Bentonville, where he lived until he joined the Army in 1944 and served during World War II.

After his discharge, he returned to Bentonville until moving to Tigard in 1955. He moved to Albany in 1961.

Paul was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, especially at Siltcoos Lake, and he loved gardening. Paul was a very generous man.

He married Cleo Ellen Hogan on April 23, 1938, in Bentonville. She died Aug. 2, 1982.

Paul married Wanda Pochurec on Aug. 14, 1983, in Reno, Nev.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda of Cottage Grove; daughters Ruth Ann Womack of Bentonville, Norma Pancoast of Tucson, Ariz., and Paula Lehr of Portland; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and sister Ruth Walker of Wichita, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cleo, his parents, brothers Frank Follett, and sister Josephine Hunter.

Private family graveside services will be held at Willamette Memorial Park.
