"Funeral of Mrs. Stanard - Wife of Former Lieutenant-Governor Buried. - The funeral of Esther Kauffman Stanard, wife of former Lieutenant-Governor, E.O. Stanard, was held Thursday afternoon from the family home, 4499 Lindell boulevard. Rev. L.H. Dorchester conducted the services. Burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Mrs. Stanard was 73 years old. Her death was due to neuralgia of the heart. She had lived in St. Louis during her married life of more than 50 years. Last June she and her husband, with their children and grandchildren celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The surviving children are; Mrs. Edgar Tilton, William K. Stanard and Miss Ella Stanard."
