Mrs. Morris worked for many years as a seamstress at Lexington Fabrics and Seasons II. She was a longtime member of Elgin Crossroads Church of Christ. She loved to garden and raise beautiful flowers.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home, with Bobby Holden officiating. The burial will follow in Butler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Charles Roy Morris; sons, Larry Morris and wife, Brenda, Russellville, Ronnie and Janice Morris, Elgin Crossroads, and Tim Morris and wife, Melissa Morris, Elgin Crossroads; grandchildren, Clint Morris, Rhiannon Morris Smith and husband, B.J., Sara Morris, Tyler Morris and Carla Morris; sisters, Polly Patterson, Town Creek, Edna Dean Aday, Muscle Shoals, and Faye Ludeman and husband, Tom, Ohio; sister-in-law, Viola Mays, Illinois; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Clint Morris, Tyler Morris, B.J. Smith, Gene Walden, Lee Aday, Perry Walden, Dennis Patterson and Joe Wesley Patterson.
