Romlus was the fifth of fourteen children born to Herbert Franklin and Lessie Bell (Langley) Bulla. He married Catherine (Breeden) and they had three children: Anne, Jerry and Rick.

ROMLUS BULLA
Mr. Romlus Jerry (R.J.) Bulla, 77, of 4911-A Tower Road died Saturday, May 18, 1996, at Human Service Alliance in Winston-Salem, after an extended illness.
Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Friends Meeting. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Bulla was a lifelong resident of Greensboro and the son of the late Herbert and Lessie Bulla. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Bulla Carmichael. He was a member of Glenwood Friends Meeting for 65 years, serving as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Men's Fellowship, the Friendly Fellowship Group and the Herbert Bulla Memorial Class.
An avid gardener, he was a past president and member of AARP Chapter 354 and a lifetime member of DAV Chapter 20. Mr. Bulla served on the RSVP with the United Services of Older Adults. He retired from Brame Industries after having worked for both Burlington Industries and J.P. Stevens Carter Fabric Plant.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, the former Catherine Breeden Bulla of the home; sons, and their wives, Jerry and Patsy Bulla of Greensboro, Rick and Jan Bulla of Richlands; three grandsons, one granddaughter; and three great-granddaughters; brothers, David and Benjamin Bulla of Randleman, Clarence Bulla of Greensboro, Joseph Bulla of Greenville, S.C., William (Bill) Bulla of Gulf Breeze, Fla., sisters, Xurada Miller, Judy Forbis, Flora Bell Mesimore and Mary Key of Greensboro, Dorothy Moorefield of Wilmington, and Mozella Lewis of Monroe, Ga.
