Pearle E. Abicht
Pearle E. Abicht, 79, of Belmont, W.Va., died Jan. 5, 2003, at her residence.
She was born May 31, 1923, in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late Fred and Mae Wheaton DeLong. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Marys High School, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Eureka, Pleasants County, a member of Chaper 31 Order of the Eastern Star, St. Marys, a lifetime member of the PTA, member of the Waverly Lions Club and a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and John Cox of St. Marys and Lou and Keith Darling of St. Louis, Mo.; one son and daughter-in-law, J.B. and Chris Abicht of Belmont; four grandchildren, Zac Cox of St. Marys, Niki Darling and Kevin Darling, both of St. Louise, Mo., and Ashley Darling of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Ralph DeLong of Vienna; and two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Abicht of Newport, Ohio, and Ruth Beck of Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Abicht.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Eastlawn Memorial Park, Reno, Ohio. There will be no visitation.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, c/o Masonic Temple, 900 Market St., Parkersburg, WV, 26101.
