Marjorie J. Hope, 80, of Normal, died at 10:43 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2003, at ManorCare Health Services in Normal.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home in Bloomington. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Bloomington with Reverend Paul Newhall officiating.

Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.

Mrs. Hope was born on January 22, 1923, in Bloomington, the daughter of Harvey and Mabel (Troxel) West. She married Wallace "Wally" Hope on June 28, 1943, in Bloomington. He survives.



She had lived in Olney from 1957 to 1966, when she returned to Bloomington. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Bloomington and was a member of the R&R Club.

Mrs. Hope is survived by her husband, Wallace Hope, of Normal; two daughters, Vivian Petsas, of Macomb, and Susan Nichols, of Laurel, Mont.; three granddaughters, Katina Petsas-Parizek, Stephanie Petsas and C. Sophia Petsas; one grandson, Robert Nichols; and one great-grandchild, Alexander Parizek.

She was preceded in by her parents, two daughters, Ruth Lee and Phyllis Ann Hope, one sister and three brothers.
