Bessie A. Vasilas Texas / Chicago Bessie A. Vasilas, age 88, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Chicago. Beloved wife of the late William L. Vasilas of over 50 years. Loving mother of Helen V. Carnegis of Dallas, TX, Demetra V. Goldstone of Valparaiso, proud grandmother of Philip N. (Holly) Carnegis, Matthews of NC and Vicki E. Carnegis of San Francisco; two sisters Georgia Kurz and Christine Dahlgren; brother-in-law James Bouranis; sister-in-law Florence Andrew; Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Bessie was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas, and a member of St. Barbara's Philoptochos. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all and remembered with love. Funeral Service Saturday, November 8, 2003 12:30 p.m. directly at SS. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Rev. Theodore Poteres officiating. Services will terminate at the church with interment at Sparkman-Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Burns Funeral Home, (corner 101st and Broadway), Merrillville/Crown Point Chapel on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M.
