Paul Krueth, bachelor resident of Firman, was found dead at his home early Monday morning by a neighbor. Mr. Kolden of Blackduck stated that the time of his death was approximately between 6:30 and 7:30 Saturday evening, October 1st [1947]. He was fully dressed and was found lying on the edge of his bed.
At the time of his death Mr. Krueth had attained the age of 70 years, three months and one day. He had been in fairly good health until recently when he was under a doctor's care.
Paul Krueth was born to Henry and Minnie Krueth in Germany on June 30, 1879. At the age of seven years he came with his parents and two brothers to the United States and settled at Little Falls, Minnesota until 1902 when he came to the Firman community. He took up a homestead in 1904 where he has spent the remaining years of his life.
Paul Krueth was well known in Firman and vicinity and had many friends.
Two brothers, William and John preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing a host of relatives and friends.
