Dies Yesterday at Home
in Hillside Avenue

LIVED HERE 52 YEARS

Mrs. Katherine A. Cheeseman, a
resident of this city for the past 52
years, died yesterday afternoon at
5:30 o'clock at her home in 65 Hillside
avenue. She had been in poor
health for a number of years but
had been confined to bed for only
two weeks.
Mrs. Cheeseman, aged 77, was a
well-known and highly respected
resident of this city. She was born
September 5, 1858, in New Albion,
N. Y., and on November 22, 1884,
was married to Abner Cheeseman,
who survives her. Mrs. Cheeseman
was a member of the congregation
of the First Methodist church and
the American Legion auxiliary.
Besides her husband, she is survived
by five daughters, Miss Mabel
Cheeseman and Mrs. Grace Clancy
of this city, Mrs. Eva Henry of
McKees Rocks, Mrs. Nina Johnson
of Cyclone and Mrs. Edith Marks
of Sullivan, Ind.; two sons, George
F. Cheeseman of Perrsburg, N. Y. and
Alva E. Cheeseman of McKees Rocks;
one sister, Mrs. Sarah
Gould of Springville; and 22 grandchildren
and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services, in charge of the
McAllister funeral home, have not
yet been completed.
