Florence Edwina McAllister, 61, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born July 4, 1950, in Queens, N.Y., passed away Dec. 14, 2011, in Phoenix.
Services were at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.

Lolli McAllister
Three things defined Lolli Mcallister's life. They were God, family and love of animals. Her devotion to family and God were demonstrated in the way she lived her daily life. She found Jesus and her husband Steve early in life and kept them close to her heart until her passing on Dec. 14, 2011, after a three-month illness.
She had an early passion for animals, bringing strays home as a child in New York. When Lolli and Steve moved to the Prescott Valley area in the 1970s, she began her efforts in animal rescue. They eventually moved to acreage in Coyote Springs.
In 1987, she founded the Prescott Area Animal Life Savers (PAALS), a non-profit organization dedicated to animal adoptions. In over 20 years, she adopted more than 9,000 animals from her home, Petco, PetSmart and most recently at Pet Headquarters. She was tireless in her efforts to place animals and educate people of the importance of spay/neuter.
She was always a generous and caring person. Lolli led Bible studies and found joy in helping people discover Christ. Lolli was 61 when she left to join the Lord and will be remembered by her many friends. Her son Jake who is caring for her two beloved mastiffs survives her.
All friends and animal lovers are invited to a celebration of Lolli's life 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at First Southern Baptist Church Prescott Valley, 2820 Pleasant View Drive, Prescott Valley; phone: 772-7218. Bring a dish to share at the potluck following the celebration.
