LEBANON - Edward L. Plimpton, 82, died Aug. 29, 2011, at home, after a long illness. He was born on July 7, 1929, in Walpole, the son of Ada (Messer) and Henry Clay Plimpton Sr. He was raised and educated in Derry.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Edward worked as a well driller for his own company in Goffstown for many years. More recently, he worked as an armored truck driver for Loomis Fargo.
He is survived by his wife, Janice (Kimball) Plimpton of Lebanon; children, Michael Lee Plimpton of Mattlacha Island, Fla., Patricia Grandmaison of Concord, Robin and her husband, Daniel McCarron, of Hampstead, and Terry Roy of Bristol; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Henry C. Plimpton Jr. of Barrington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. (Union Leader 8/31/2011)
