Translation of the Hebrew Inscription on the grave marker:
Line 1. He was whole with G-d, enduring difficult bitter suffering with love.
Line 2. His good heart and thoughts were devoted to others.
line 3. He cast away the luxuries of this world, casting his hope in G-d.
Line 4. He prayed with abundant fervor, tears flowing from the depths of his heart.
Line 5. He acquired many merits on behalf of his soul, he caused many to return in repentance.
Line 6. He didn't take good for himself at all, always striving higher, soft and humble in his way.
Line 7. In his diminished days he caused many to rejoice, and strengthened hearts.
Line 8. From his deep mind and proper reasoning, people took counsel and salvation.
Line 9. G-d took a beautiful tree on the first day of Sukkos
Line 10. May he be a good intercessor on behalf of his loved ones and those who knew him, an ascending witness to Zion, in song.
Taken in his prime, to the anguish of his family and those who knew him, on the first day of the holiday of Sukkos 5764
Bottom 5 Hebrew Letters:
(May his soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life)
