Mrs. Annie Cairns, aged 70 years, wife of the late Andrew Cairns, died yesterday morning at 10:45 o'clock, following a two-day illness at her late home in Roscoe. Mrs. Cairns was a beloved resident of Roscoe for the past thirty years, and was the oldest member of the St. Joseph's Catholic church at that place. She was also the oldest member of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the A.O.H.
There survive the following children; John, Andrew, Francis of Roscoe, William of California, Mrs. M. A. Carroll of Charleroi, and Mrs. Walter Dryburg of Denbo. Twenty-six grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive, as well as one sister, Mrs. Katherine McDermott of Homestead.
Funeral services will take place Thursday morning with requiem high mass in St. Joseph's church, followed by interment in Calvary cemetery, Coal Center.
