This stone marker is a symbol of "Time" "Love" and Recognition
It also preserves family history. Great grandson Irving L. Davey dedicates this monument to WILLIAM DAVEY a native of Cornwall,England. He came to Georgetown in 1852 seeking the richness of Gold. He was a friend with James W. Marshall. Rich in mining knowledge they gave expert advice with little or no payment. At the end of life each was blessed with the greatest richness of all-WISDOM and PEACE. Dedicated by the Genealogist, May 30,1997 Irving Leroy Davey b. 6/24 /1943
