Jack Stevenson, age 85 of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Emeritus at Fox Run. He was preceded in Death by his wife, Carma J. Stevenson; parents, Calton L. & Mary G. Stevenson. son in law Douglas Heidenreich; sisters pat Grismer & Janice Grieshop & Brother Wiliam Stevenson. Jack is survived by is children, Chris Heidenreich, Gwen (Howard) lebovitz, and Scott (Lynn) Stevenson; Grandchildren Crystal, Jimmy,Chip,Adam,Amanda, & Cynthia. Great Grandchildren Kylie & Dylan and many other loving family & friends. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated with his bachelor's from the University of Dayton and attended Miami Oxford where he earned his Master's of Education. Jack enjoyed 5 years as head basketball coach at Jefferson Township, as well as time coaching the freshman football and basketball teams at Beavercreek High School. He retired in 1995 after 32 years of teaching for Dayton Public Schools, having taught at the Great Wilbur Wright High School, Jefferson Township & Beavercreek school systems as well as 30 years in the suit department at Elder Beerman's. Jack ws also a 50 year member of Beaver Valley Lodge #753 f & AM. After 64 Christmases together, he could not spend one without Carma. They will be together forever! Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2011 at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Chaplain Mark Meyer officiating. Interment at Clifton-Union Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8 PM Monday December 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
