Codie Scott Whitesell, 11-month-old infant, Salina, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006.
Codie was born Feb. 18, 2005, in Salina to Derek Whitesell of Bennington and Crystal (Cude) Wheeler of Salina.
He was preceded in death by two great-grandmothers, Kathryn E. Peterson and Shirley Cude; and a great-grandfather, Billie Ray Cude.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Sarah Whitesell of Tescott; a brother, Damion Wheeler of Salina; grandparents, Janice Peterson, David and Vicky Nichols and Lester and Marsha Wheeler, all of Salina, and Richard Cude Sr. of Lampasas; great-grandfather, E.J. Chambers of Lampasas; an aunt, Angela Peterson of Pueblo, Colo.; two uncles, Jeff Peterson of Pueblo and Richard Cude of Salina; and four cousins, Kathryn P. Peterson, Kennadi Peterson and Cayden Peterson, all of Pueblo, and Ethan Wheeler of Salina; and a best friend, Hannah Jones of Salina.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401, the Rev. Loren Houltbert officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
Memorials may be made to Martin Luther King Jr. Child Development Center.
Visitation will be before the service on Thursday at the chapel.
