YOUNGSTOWN Nancy J. Ashman, 41, of Youngstown, died Thursday afternoon, August 24, 2006 at her residence. She was born on November 3, 1964, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Oscar and Ruth Shaffer Rust, growing up in Sharpsville, PA and moving to Youngstown in 1985.

Mrs. Ashman was a homemaker, a 1983 graduate of Sharpsville High School and enjoyed gardening and yard work. Nancy was a member of Victory Christian Center in Lowellville and had previously served as the Nursery Director and Couples Ministry Leader and was presently a member of the Leadership Team for the Missions.

She leaves her mother, Ruth Rust of Hermitage, PA; her husband, Robert "Chip" Ashman, Jr., whom she married on July 21, 1984; a son, Anthony Ashman of Youngstown; two daughters, Leslie M. Ashman and Abigail J. Ashman, both of Youngstown; a brother, William Rust of Jamestown, PA and two sisters, Lois Simmons of Hermitage, PA and Jean (Tod) Roberts of Flinton, PA.

Her father preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Victory Christian Center in Lowellville, friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church, prior to the services.

Contributions may be made to Victory Christian Center, The Nancy Ashman Fund, 15 Bedford Road, Lowellville, OH 44436.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
