Tom was born in 1949, to Lloyd and Lolita Atkins. He passed away at the age of 57, at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. During his heroic struggles associated with heart failure, his deep faith in God gave him and those around him strength. Tom was a very loving and giving son, husband, father, stepfather, brother, brother-in-law, and grandfather. He lived in Lakewood, California for the past 33 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at Northrop for 25 years.
He is survived by his father, Lloyd; wife, Nancy; daughters, Audra and Tina; sons-in-law, Chip and Barry; brothers, Allen and Dave; grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke and Jason Thomas; stepchildren, Jim and Michelle; step-grandchildren, Adrian, Jasmine, Christian, Sarina and Iysis; and many other loving family members.
