Service for Lorene Nelon Faulkner, 85, of Boyd will be Monday, Jan. 31, at Biggers Funeral Chapel in Lake Worth at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Shannon-Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Faulkner died Jan. 27, 2000, in Fort Worth.
Born Oct. 9, 1914, in Wynnewood, Okla., she was a homemaker and lived in the area since 1945. Her family operated a dairy business in Boyd and, in 1963 moved to Azle where they operated a dry cleaning business until 1971. In 1974, she married Clay Faulkner and they moved back to Boyd. She attended Evangel Temple in Azle and Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George E. Nelon, in October 1970.
Survivors include her husband, Clay Faulkner of Boyd; three sons, Arlen Howard "Smokey Joe" Nelon and Alfred G. "Rusty" Nelon of Boyd and Darrell Lee "Bub" Nelon of Azle; a daughter, Fannie Elaine "Lou" Autry of Azle; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
