Shawn Renae Smith

Shawn Renae Smith, 17, of San Antonio died Saturday, July 14, in an automobile accident. She was a student at John Marshall High School, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Buck of Bandera.

Survivors include her parents, James H. and Shirley Buck Smith of San Antonio; paternal grandmother, Winnie Smith of LaPorte; and a sister, Jenny Smith of San Antonio.

Funeral services were July 17 at the Grimes Funeral Home in Bandera. Pallbearers were Charles Van Dyke, Jimmy Glover, Doug Pue, Robert and Guy buck and Joe Gray. She was buried in the Bandera Cemetery.

To our many friends and relatives we take this opportunity to thank all of you who did so much for us when our lovely daughter, Renae, was taken from us.

Thanks for the beautiful flowers for Renae and for the cards and food that were prepared for us. A special thank you to Rev. Carroll Pickett who baptized Renae; for the special message at the funeral. Thanks also to everyone at Grimes Funeral Home that helped us through our sorrow.
