Angelia is listed on a "monument erected AD 1888, in memory of those members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who died in 1846, 1847, and 1848, during their exodus to seek a home beyond the Rocky Mountains."

Angelia's father Richard Carter preceded her in death while he was with the Mormon Battalion late in 1846. Angelia's mother Hannah Parker Carter died of small pox in 1852.

Her three siblings all lived to adulthood and had large families.
